Fansubbers earn **rewards based on user ratings and views**. The better your subtitles, the **more views you get, and the higher your rewards**!

📊 Rating System – Users rate subtitles, and **higher-rated subtitles get priority**.
🤝 Multiple Fansubbers Can Compete – If your subtitles are **better-rated**, they will be used.

🚦 How Subtitle Competition Works

When a fansubber starts working on subtitles for an anime, **other fansubbers cannot submit a competing version immediately**. However, if the subtitles receive **negative ratings**, the system will **open up the anime** for a new fansubber to challenge and replace the old version.

⏳ First-Come, First-Serve – The first fansubber to claim an anime subtitle gets to work on it.
⭐ Rating System – Viewers rate the subtitles based on **accuracy and quality**.
🔄 Challenge Mode – If an anime subtitle gets **too many downvotes**, other fansubbers can submit a new version.
🏅 Best Rated Subtitle Wins – The subtitle with the highest rating gets **automatically selected**.
❌ Revoking a Fansubber – If a fansubber submits **low-quality or plagiarized content**, they can be **banned from future projects**.

💼 Fansubber Roles & Contributions

Fansubbing involves multiple roles. You can contribute in any of the following ways:

Translator

- Convert Japanese (or another language) into English or other missing languages.
- Ensure accuracy while maintaining cultural nuances.
- Requires fluency in both source and target languages.

Timer

- Sync subtitles with anime dialogue.
- Ensure precise subtitle appearance and disappearance.
- Familiarity with tools like Aegisub or Subtitle Edit is a plus.

Typesetter

- Adjust fonts, colors, and styling for subtitles.
- Style opening and ending lyrics to match anime aesthetics.
- Requires knowledge of Aegisub and ASS formatting.

Quality Checker (QC)

- Review subtitles for spelling, grammar, and translation errors.
- Ensure subtitles are well-timed and properly formatted.
- Works closely with the translation and timing teams.
